Pneumatic HVAC controls have been around for decades. Even though they have become less popular, they continue to be manufactured and sold all over the world. However, because of the new technology and in particular direct digital control otherwise known as DDC or Building Automation Systems, pneumatic controls systems are phasing out slowly. In many office buildings and other commercial buildings replacing a large pneumatic control system can be costly and overwhelming. HVAC Dimensions can ease the transition from retrofitting an existing pneumatic system to DDC by performing it in two phases. This spreads out the retrofit cost over a longer period of time and is accomplished by changing only the controllers to DDC but leaving the final control devices as pneumatic until a later date. This could be considered a Hybrid control system. Our controls technicians can assess the existing system and present solutions that meet your financial restrictions.
